Privacy & cookies

Who is responsible?

Christophe Keyser, trading as JAMELIS, Rue de Saupont 69, 6880 Bertrix, Belgium. BCE/KBO: 1042.338.442. VAT: BE1042338442. Contact: info@jamelis.com, +32 494 04 01 63.

Purchases, licences and support

When purchases are available, we process contact details, language, selected product, business declaration, billing details where supplied, payment references, contractual consent evidence and licence records. The Machine ID or USB ID provided for activation is used to bind the licence. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by JAMELIS.

These data are used to prepare and perform the contract, deliver and support the licence, manage invoices and fulfil applicable legal obligations. Security and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the service. Optional marketing consent, where offered, is separate from the purchase and can be withdrawn. There is no advertising profiling or automated decision producing legal effects through our statistics.

Sales-opening notification

The unchecked “Notify me when purchases become available” option authorises one sales-opening message only. We store the normalised email, language, source page, consent text/version, server date and notification status. This is not newsletter consent and does not create a purchase. You can withdraw or request deletion at info@jamelis.com. The planned retention is until the opening notification, or up to six months if sales do not open; deletion is an operator task, not an automatic purge.

JAMELIS news and product updates

A separate, optional, unchecked box authorises JAMELIS news. We separately store email, language, source page, exact consent text/version, server date and subscription status. Leaving it unchecked does not change an existing subscription. Every newsletter must include a confirmation-based unsubscribe link without login; you can also contact info@jamelis.com. Unsubscribing is independent of the opening notification. Repeated form submissions cannot reactivate a withdrawn subscription; contact us to subscribe again. Data are retained during the subscription; after withdrawal, minimal evidence and suppression status are kept to respect your choice. The precise evidence retention period remains to be confirmed. No automated newsletter sending system is installed.

Optional statistics and your choice

Statistics are refused by default. Only after you select “ACCEPT”, and when the analytics service is enabled, can Google Analytics receive statistical events. “Refuse” leaves all navigation, free downloads and forms available. Use “Cookie settings” in any footer, then “Refuse”, to withdraw at any time. No new statistical event is sent after withdrawal. Requests already sent cannot be recalled and previously aggregated counts are not automatically erased.

We save your consent choice in localStorage, without an identifier or browsing history in that preference. Analytics cookies are separate and require acceptance. It remains until you change it or clear browser storage. If storage is unavailable, the choice may not persist to another page. This preference storage is used solely to remember your choice, not for marketing.

After consent we measure pageviews and entry pages, referring website origins, approved UTM source/medium/campaign labels, clicks on Trial download links (.msi, .exe, .zip), and successful opening-list registrations. Download clicks are not proof that a file finished downloading; registration events are not unique verified email subscribers. No email, name, address, VAT number, order/payment/licence ID, token or form content is included in statistical event data. URL fragments and unapproved query parameters are removed. With accepted analytics consent, we also measure successful Checkout creation and paid purchases confirmed by the payment webhook. JAMELIS receives only the GA browser client/session identifiers and the versioned consent state for attribution. Purchase analytics sends the public product, amount, currency and a separate opaque transaction reference; no customer, license or Stripe identifiers are sent. GA identifiers are erased from the analytics queue after delivery, or after 30 days for abandoned attempts. Consent is checked when creating Checkout; withdrawal on this site stops further browser collection and a refused Checkout retry clears pending attribution. Data already sent cannot be recalled.

Google Analytics 4 (Google) uses analytics cookies only after acceptance. The Google script is not loaded before that choice; refusal sends no cookieless signals. The _ga cookies are configured for 180 days, refreshed during consented visits. Google receives permitted events, browser identifiers, IP address and User-Agent through network requests. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Processing outside the EEA may occur under Google’s safeguards. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled in our integration. Withdrawal removes the tracking context and accessible _ga cookies on this site. We do not load analytics on the API, administration or unsubscribe page. Google privacy policy.

Separately from statistics, the checkout can temporarily keep a technical attempt key in session storage to prevent duplicate requests. This is essential checkout operation, not analytics, and contains no form details.

Service providers and hosting logs

OVHcloud hosts the site, API and mail service. Stripe handles payments and invoice-related processing according to its role and privacy policy. Google Analytics provides optional statistics. Authorised JAMELIS personnel and professional advisers may access data needed for support, accounting or legal obligations. Data are not sold. Stripe may process data outside the EEA under the safeguards described in its policy.

Hosting may record technical HTTP logs, including IP address, request path, time, response status and browser information, for operation and security independently of analytics consent. Aggregate counts of file requests may later be derived from those existing logs; no additional personal download tracker is installed. Log access and retention depend on the hosting configuration.

Retention

Order, invoice, consent and licence records are retained as needed to perform the contract, support and verify licences, comply with applicable accounting/tax obligations and address disputes. Requests for deletion are assessed against those purposes and obligations. There is currently no automatic purge of these records. Exact operational schedules for accounting records, support, backups, hosting logs and the Google Analytics account remain to be confirmed; we do not claim a technical deletion period that has not been implemented. The specific opening-list commitment and browser-choice behaviour are described above.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Contact info@jamelis.com; we may request only the information necessary to verify your identity. You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority. Required checkout information is necessary to process a purchase and deliver its licence; optional statistics are never a condition of service.
