Free PUB to PDF converter: evaluate the trade-offs

A free PUB to PDF converter can sound attractive, but the real question is reliability.

If your files matter, you should evaluate whether the tool actually uses Microsoft Publisher, whether it supports batch work, and whether it can produce archival output such as PDF/A.

PMT offers a free trial with 5 PDF and 5 PDF/A conversions, with independent counters and no payment required. Beyond the trial, paid licences are one-time purchases. Microsoft Publisher must be installed; conversion runs locally.

• Check whether Microsoft Publisher is still required.
• Check batch support and output safety rules.
• Check whether archival PDF/A output is available.
